STEP ONE: Think about these thinking stems to help you brainstorm your Genius Hour Project: I am going to ......... learn more about a place, history, person learn a new skill (something I've wanted to try or learn how to do) learn to make something (a model, a physical object) learn to create something ( write a book, create an art object) learn to test something ( a science experiment, investigation) learn to change or help (environmental / educational / health issues STEP TWO: Inquiry Question Write your inquiry question/ your driving question for your research. What do you want to learn, make, find out about or change public opinion about? STEP THREE: Reasons Why have you chosen this project? Support your topic with the reasons why you have chosen this project. Explain why this Genius Hour project is a great project for you. How does this topic relate to your passions & interests? STEP FOUR: Research steps What will you be using to complete your research. Plan out your research steps. Make a daily or weekly plan - what websites, interviews, books, podcasts, etc. will you use? STEP FIVE: Final Project How will you present your final project? What will you use to tell the world what you have learned or accomplished during Genius Hour?
